I don’t even know where to begin or what to write – so much to say, yet I am too emotional to write and make sense of anything. I am lost for words. My heart hurts. It feels heavy and I feel pain. It’s hard to believe that the last time we spoke with you on the phone, was going to be the last I will hear your voice, your laughter and your jokes again Uncle John. I recall when you said keep the prayers coming, they really are being answered. Inspite of all the prayers to have you stay with us, God in His infinite mercy demonstrated His unconditional love and wanted you more than we all did. One rarely comes across an individual with whom everyone who crosses his path consistently have the same thing to say about him - nothing but positive testimonies. You were a “rare breed” Uncle John. If qualities of humility, kindness, generosity, empathy, compassion, belief, love, family values (all in one) could keep anyone away from death, you would be one of the last to go. I could never get enough of your sense of humor, your contagious laughter and your positive energy. I always looked forward to you and I ganging up to tease and make fun of Byes. Thank you for being you Uncle John. You have been an amazing uncle, husband, brother and friend and we will miss you dearly. My dearest Aunty Pam, we can’t find enough words to say to you - Thank You. Aunty Pam, you are the epitome of a loving and caring wife and partner. I am not just saying this because you are my Aunt, but because I have witnessed it myself and I have heard testimonies from Uncle John himself. One of the last conversations I had with Uncle John, he said, “gaeraem al len ma suma. Jabarr.” That statement said a lot. Aunty Pam, Sukai Nellie, Harry, Nini, Uncle August, Aunty Nini, Aunty Anna, Aunty Sukai, Aunty Beggay, Aunty Cons, Uncle Rene, Uncle Peter, Aunty Antou, and the entire Prom and Evans family, and to all the extended family members, please accept our heartfelt condolences. Till we meet again, rest in perfect peace Uncle John. May eternal light continue to shine upon you and may the Angels and Arc Angels welcome you in Heaven. Aunty O Oley Dibba-Wadda
