O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? John was a very down to earth and personable human being. He will approach anyone to make a conversation regardless of age, gender, race or creed to make you feel comfortable in whatever the setting is, people that knows him will attest to this. His beautiful and genuine smile, infectious laughter, positive energy and humility were second to none. He was a saint walking in the midst of everyday people. I have no doubt in my mind that John is in heaven, smiling down at us. Whenever my husband and I meet with John at gatherings, he always makes it his business to come over to where we are sitting or standing to talk to my husband who is not Gambian, and my husband will always say to me "John really makes me feel at home and comfortable in the midst of Gambians and I enjoy talking to him." Thank you John for taking on that role. We are both sadden by his passing. We join his family and all who knew him to mourn his demise. May the good Lord in his infinite mercy grant John eternal rest, and be the strength of his loved ones as they process this unfathomable loss. To Pamela and the entire Prom family, I say "it is well!!!" Frances (Sabelle) Blango
