Friendship from High School

Where do I begin and where do I end? There can never be an end writing about you Jabel aka JP, and wish it was not a eulogy. It took a while to come to terms that you are no more, until today 6/26/20 that u are finally transitioning to our creator.
A complete gentleman by virtue of distinctive values  is a rare gem and that was you:
respectful, unconditional generosity in all forms to all mankind, compassionate with integrity, peaceful, down2 earth, kind, sincere and   humble, validated by that ever-shining contagious smile and hearty laughs. If only you can wake up once more and hear the overwhelming accolades for the many lives you have touched,  you would want to do more.
We met in high school, a friendship that lasted throughout adulthood, was bonded like biological siblings  nurtured with mutual respect, love and  dignity.   We were among the young men and women of SJHS/SAHS together with Byes, Bal, Ernest, Oumie Okiki Andrews, Pulo , Leila et al which enhanced our eternal bond. Then came along Vous 26, your camaraderie among very productive men that lasted to this day.
Because of your very rare generosity and passion to help, many Gambian guys found their first abode /transit point at 12th Street Washington DC. It didn’t matter to you how many people congregated in a 2-bedroom apartment, all you wanted was to show the ropes of settling in America. My brother Modou was also a beneficiary of your humanitarian gesture and you never complained or advertised what you gave. U have served both the Christian and Muslim communities and your love for the Muslim faith was evident by your contributions and presence in most functions.

As we say adieus, I join the collective prayers from all over the world and remember you in the highest honor. We pray for Allah's mercy on your beautiful soul. May the deeds be your pillow, your grave widens and perpetual light glows. As you are being lowered into your new home, may the angels of mercy in the presence of the Lord carry you to the highest heavens.

We cry for your untimely demise because your mission is incomplete, but the Lord wants you more.  We thank HIM for you. We wonderful wife Pamela and your siblings for sharing you with us.  Rest well in perfect peace JP.

You will be missed dearly.

Our sincere condolences to Pam and the children, Prom family, Vous 26, Loumen family.
